BARBOSA AND ITS TEMPLES. TOURIST DESTINATION

 MUNICIPALITY OF BARBOSA:


 Barbosa is in the country side known as the sweet district with flavor to pineapple.  Title that proofing, not only in their typical products, but in the environment in general.  For the hiking, there are several places such as the Puddles, the Glory, El Brujo and Charco Negro.  Barbosa is the second municipality in extension of the department of Antioquia.

Located in the north end of the Aburra Valley, on the right  side of the river Medellin, in a foothill of the Andes mountain range.  The Municipality of Barbosa is part of the Metropolitan Area, is located just 36 kilometers from the city of Medellin and is obligatory step toward the northeast of the department, Magdalena Medio, santanderes, the North Coast, Venezuela and served as alternative route to the capital of the country.


It was founded in 1795 by Diego Fernandez Barbosa and erected Municipality in 1812.  In climatic terms Barbosa is classified as forest humid subtropical, with an average temperature of 23 degrees.  Its altitude above sea level is 1.300 meters, a population closets to 44 thousand inhabitants and counts with 206 square kilometers of territory, of which 203 belong to the rural area.
Visit Barbosa is meeting with a haven of alive nature, with the bounless flow of its 64 ravines and with the cordiality and dynamism that are part of the idiosyncrasy of their people.


 
The main attractive of the municipality of Barbosa are their religious festivities

especially during Holy Week on Good Friday and Easter Sunday.
